Anne works with technology businesses to protect and commercialize their intellectual property assets. Representative clients include venture funded cloud providers and software developers in fields such as voice authentication, financial analysis, medical devices, and medical research. With a focus on complex technology contracts and licensing, Anne has worked in-house as well as in private practice. As a member of the full-time faculty of Suffolk Law School in Boston, she directed the Intellectual Property & Entrepreneurship Clinic. Anne is a frequent invited speaker for continuing legal education.
Cloud Computing: Anne negotiates SaaS subscription, hosting, and professional services agreements with major public companies and financial institutions. She counsels clients on best practices regarding privacy, data security, and analytics. In addition, she has represented numerous clients with mobile app developments from creation to launch. Other areas of experience include the acquisition and sale of technology, online publishing, international distribution, and confidentiality agreements.
Medical Devices: Working as outside "in-house" counsel for a global medical equipment manufacturer, she advised engineers and business people on the negotiation of critical agreements for the development and sale of medical equipment worldwide.
Software Development & Licensing: Anne creates core licensing and strategic alliance agreements for new companies, and provides complex negotiations, including those with Fortune 500 companies, international entities, financial institutions, hospitals, and universities. Other areas of experience include the acquisition and sale of technology, online publishing, international distribution, and confidentiality agreements.
